Earlier this week I received word that my paper on delayed PTSD has been accepted by the Student Showcase Committee. I will be presenting at the UAA Student Showcase 29th Annual Academic Conference.

Feb 27: I went to an orientation meeting. I found out that I am the only undergraduate selected this year to present. All of the other presenters are either graduate students or alumni presenting their senior capstone projects. The process of selection was conducted by faculty of the specific article discipline using a blind method. The items were judged on the following elements: technical, importance/relevance, and overall impact. This score has been recorded and will be combined at the end of the conference with an assessment by a community commentator. The community commentator is a professional in the field who has been invited to lead a Q&A discussion regarding the project.

Mar 23: Preparations are in full swing for the conference. I just saw posters on campus and noticed a blurb about my particular presentation embedded in the publication.
