Guest Writer on Nathan's Voice

I am continuously amazed at the opportunities which come from social networking. I am grateful that technology enables us to connect with others beyond geographic boundaries and limitations. What a marvel the Internet is.

Using LinkedIn I was able to connect with Lorrie Servati. She is program coordinator and support group leader for Autism Oklahoma for Oklahoma City, founder of Nathan's Voice, and mother of a child on the spectrum. Nathan's Voice has been featured nationally on various autism resource websites and was nominated Top 10 Autism Blogs of 2012. That same year her efforts were acknowledged by Covington Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals where she represented the state of Oklahoma in autism advocacy.
Recently, she recorded her first podcast through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals (NADP) on the Executive Broadcast Channel and had a 2-page article featured in the Leader's Across America magazine (Fall 2014).

Lorrie asked if I would contribute to her autism resource website as a guest writer. Her site has featured best selling authors, motivational speakers, researchers, and parents. I was excited to be invited to make a contribution. I wrote a brief article on the effect of loneliness on adults with autism and encouraged research focused on development of interventions aimed at adults. Last night the post went live and I am now awaiting feedback and comments from her readers.
