ISLP Delegation on Medicine & Science

posted Feb 7, 2014, 1:43 PM by Ezra Lockhart

I was informed at the beginning of the new year on my selection as a delegate for the International Scholar Laureate Program, Student Delegation on Medicine & Science in Australia & New Zealand. This academic experience provides not only a cultural overview, but provides an understanding of the medical environments of each host country. The main aim is to provide each delegate with the understanding of Australia and New Zealand's Health Care System, from the pioneering principles of Universal Health Care to the modern medical community response efforts. As a delegate I would not only meet and converse with medical researchers, but I would gain access to rural and urban clinics to evaluate the national health scheme in practice. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints I will be forced to decline this extraordinary opportunity in advanced medical education.
